ME AND SOCIETY (PART1)
There are too many entitled people around me
Demanding payment for debts I didn’t take
Favors I never requested
ME AND SOCIETY (PART 2)
I prefer to see everything in black and white
Colors are like people
They only reflect
What they want you to see
But it’s so beautiful that way
ME AND SOCIETY (PART THREE)
Sometimes about being happy
Brainstorm solutions to what i think are my current problems;
If I slept through the night, maybe I’d be eager to wake up the next morning
Maybe if I didn’t procrastinate I’d be more focused on myself
Maybe if I liked people more, I’d have a constant friend group
I didn’t mind hanging out with
ME AND SOCIETY (PART FOUR)
I think we all know what it feels like
To get stuck
Between that suffocating space
Trying to accept reality
And believe in your dreams at the same time
ME AND SOCIETY (PART FIVE)
There are too many entitled people around me
Demanding payment for debts I didn’t take
Favors I never requested
Does no one realize that your feelings are
your own problem?
ME AND SOCIETY (PART SIX)
I’m getting way too tired
Way too easily
Way too soon
ME AND SOCIETY (PART SEVEN)
Something about society is unrealistic
All these people trying to fit in
With some expectation of acceptance
From an ever changing generation
ME AND SOCIETY (PART EIGHT)
Could we survive anywhere else?
It’s what I ask myself
When there’s too much noise around
When I start to think that there is more evil than the good
But then I listen to a song and my heart stirs
Or I read something so authentic the words bleed pain
Sometimes it rains and it sounds like magic
At times like those I’m just a person
My thoughts and feelings mine alone
For the longest time I’ve known
That silence is something you feel rather than hear
I don’t know why we’re all trying to live at the same pace
Always trying to keep up with someone else
It’s like someone drew this map and told you were to go at a young age
Chose the road you would take,
How long you would stay in one place
And who you were supposed to catch up with at the end of the day;
Everybody else
