It is 1st January
And I hate the year already
But I like the new year celebrations
I like seeing people come together
And acting like everything is going to be better
Pretending that the new year changes everything
Like January can fix all of December’s bad decisions
Like this year can erase last year
Mindless hope looks fulfilling
May you fulfill every new year resolution you never got around to
